My ship represents a journey through time, where four generations of my family pass down our roots. It symbolizes diverse situations that unite my past, present, and future. My surname, my history, my heritage, and my projects.
It connects in time two generations who saved their lives thanks to a ship.
One describes my past: my grandparents, who due to antisemitism fled their homes on a ship.
The second describes my future, my projects as a Jew. Soon I will celebrate my Bar Mitzvah by reading the Parasha of Noah, who survived the Flood in the Ark (ship).
On my ship, there is also a dove, as a symbol of salvation that transcends time: in the past, it signaled to Noah the end of the Flood, and in our time, in the near future, peace will come to all the Land of Israel and with the people of Israel.
Our roots may bend with us, but they will never break.
Am Israel Chai!
