Great Grandpa Harlold

Henry Frankel's "Great Grandpa Harlold" My Family Story Project

Henry Frankel

I made a stop-motion animation using my iPad, legos, and knowledge I learned from interviewing my family. The first scene is about my Great Grandpa Harold when he worked at his family’s grocery store when he was a kid during the great depression. It shows him delivering an apple to someone on roller skates. The next scene is in World War 2. In World War 2 my great-grandpa made bridges, used them, and then exploded those bridges so enemy forces couldn’t exploit them. The final scene shows him celebrating Passover at his family seder. He was proud of being Jewish and loved celebrating holidays with his family. There were even more people there than I showed. In fact my Grammy (his daughter) told me he would talk to people all the time about how proud he was of being Jewish.
