My model is about my great-grandparents who got deported to Bergen Belsen and in this scene shows how they went there. In the background you can see the sky and a landscape, which is covered in gravel. It is supposed to clarify the sad environment. On the right there are two of the pictures, of my great-grandparents, which I like most and their names underneath. In the centre is the train by which they were bought to Bergen Belsen, which is built with wooden sticks representing the metal strips in the original. On the left corner, there is a small excerpt from the list of people rescued by Kazstner, their names marked in blue and a marriage certificate. They were married one night before the deportation because they were told that they would not be allowed to be separated that way. My great-grandfather continued his acting career after this horrible event, while my great grandmother suffered greatly from depression. She refused to leave the house, sat in a darkened room all day and was very anxious. Nevertheless my grandpa described her as very smart, nice and friendly and I would have love to get to know her!
