My great grandfather, Joseph Frauman, was a lucky man. He survived the Holocaust and was saved by Oskar Schindler, a nazi spy who beca,e righteous among the nations as he helped save the Jewish workers in his factory from their obvious destiny. In 1944, as the nazis started losing the war, Schindler moved his factory to Brněnec and compiled lists of 1,200 Jews that would be transported in 1945 to work in his factory, thus saving their lives. Umong them, #5 on the list, was Joseph Frauman. I decided to build a replica of Schindler's factory.
