Although my project is heavily focused on me and my family, I think every Jewish and non-Jewish person around the world would agree, that the foundations of a person are strengthened by your family. This idea for a wooden apothecary box was not my first or last idea. during the extensive process, I had many times when I wanted to give up and do something simple such as a plate or drawing. Nevertheless, I persevered because I knew that this heirloom meant more than just a box to me. It was my way of representing what family means to me and how I cherish every one of them. The reasoning behind asking for their favourite item and person was to show that something special to them is special to me as well. Just like this wooden box if all the drawers of my family were removed id be a fragile shell, but with their love and support, I know I am strong and can challenge the world.
