The Heder

A heder is a school in which ultra orthodox Jewish children learn Hebrew and Torah. I chose to create a model of one because my grandfathers from both sides used to go to a heder as kids. My great grandfather, Rabbi Hillel Simchon, was a well known rabbi who also tought at a heder. My mom's favourite song growing up was "Heder Katan" (small room) about little children learning in a heder.
