This map tells the story of the survival of my great-grandfather, Grigory Izrailevich Strunsky’s, family during World War II. My project includes a map of the USSR, showing the traveling of the wandering children and parents in various colors, and historical family photographs. The red color marks the journey of the children and the yellow of the parents. My family has an album with photographs and names of ancestors shot by the Nazis during the Holocaust. Their memory is preserved in the Yad Vashem memorial in Israel.
If not for the kind people who helped the family, they would not have survived. I also decided to help people and do good deeds. A QR code on the map allows you to find out more details about this amazing story.
